AEW DYNAMITE MAY 11TH RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG

I tried, you don’t believe me, but I did. I tried to mature, to be responsible, period period, but my heart is young and my character is not so hot. However, I’m pretty good at live blogging this pro wrestling show here for you guys.

The show opens with the intro video.

Adam Cole vs. Dax Harwood (Owen Hart Foundation Tournament First Round Match)

Collar and elbow, backing Harwood into the corner, breaking with an “Adam Cole, bay bay!” and a facet. Dax with a sideways headlock, Adam powers up and pushes him into the corner, and this time Harwood drops him with a chop when he mocks! Strokes in the ropes, reverse whipping but Cole takes Dax’s ass on the kettle!

Ground punches, little mat grappling, Cole throws Harwood into the ringpost! The fights continue on the floor, with Adam brawling him around the ring and rolling inside to break the count as we go to break.

Back from the commercial, Cole with a hard whip in the turnbuckles, jockey for position on a whip and Harwood hits two German suplexes! Moving on to a third standing switch, Adam gets one, then Dax flips it over for a third of his own!

From the top, no one home, Harwood lands on his feet and hits the slingshot powerbomb… NO! Cole with a brainbuster on his knee, cover for two! Adam tunes the band, Dax counters, O’Connor roll, crossbody springboard on the kickout, only two! Reverse whip, springboard and Cole cuts it in the air with a superkick… STILL NO!

Harwood knocks the pin… CRUCIFIX CAN’T HOLD ADAM COLE DOWN! Back and forth, Cole with an upkick, Panama Sunrise blocked, Dax hits the piledriver… NOT ENOUGH! The next with the sniper in the middle of the ring, Adam trying to post to block and Dax goes down!

Cole blasts Harwood off the apron and into the barricade, he is knocked unconscious and takes a moment to come to his senses as referee Bryce Remsburg counts. Back at eight o’clock, he takes off the apron and powers up to enter just before ten o’clock! Cole goes for the sniper, spitting in Dax’s face!

Crawling, desperate, but he just can’t reach the ropes…

Adam Cole wins by submission with a Sharpshooter.

We’re getting a hype reel for Darby Allin vs. Jeff Hardy in our main event tonight.

“Hangman” Adam Page joins the comment desk for this one.

CM Punk vs. John Silver

Collar and elbow, in the corner, Punk breaks and takes a break on the outside before coming in and grabbing a side headlock. Silver breaks loose and knocks him down and flexes, blocks the hip throw, backs up and again CM runs to the ground. Back inside, the Meat Man hits him with corner strikes, heads up but Punk blocks the DDT Tornado!

A lariat follows and we’ll break.

Back from the commercial, Silver powers up with leg kicks, off the ropes, Punk does a backslide but he rolls in more kicks! Brainbuster is following…SO CLOSE! Fiery, calling for it, the Argentine backbreaker but CM slips and lands a lightning roundhouse kick to send him stumbling into the corner.

Raising the knee in a short arm lariat, Punk rolls, whips, leg lariat connects, followed by Buckshot…

CM Punk wins by pinfall with Buckshot.

After the match, Hangman bursts into the ring and he and Punk go head to head. CM takes the mic and says he seems to take it personally, but when it comes to this title, it’s not personal to him, it’s just business. He used to wake up every morning and wonder “are you a good guy” and this morning he woke up and wondered if he was the champion, and his answer was “yes “.

Last week, Adam said he was going to destroy it? Well he destroyed his boy and after Double or Nothing he will shake his hand whether he is conscious or not. Punk offers a hand and Page flips the bird in his face!

Dr. Britt Baker, DMD and her pals are interviewed backstage.

Britt explains how she and Jamie Hayter will dominate the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

Danhausen vs. Tony Nese

Nese explodes in full…

Tony Nese wins by pinfall with a running knee.

After the match, “Smart” Mark Sterling takes the mic and complains that Nese is embarrassing all of our internet meme wrestlers and demanding that he hit another knee with the pad down!

CROCHET SAVE!

Danhausen offers a handshake and HOOK accepts!

And so we’re going to take a break.

Returning from the commercial, Wardlow is escorted to the ring, practically drowning in safety.

We get a fake Dark Side of the Ring video package about Wardlow’s betrayal of Maxwell Jacob Friedman.

MJF makes his entrance and stands in front of his hometown audience.

He takes the mic and explains that this is a real David vs. Goliath story, and is here to talk about the terms of him giving Wardlow a match and letting him out of his contract, but he asks First ask his people to get out of their seats and boo Wardlow out of the building every time he speaks.

Wardlow grabs the mic and the crowd boos, so Max tells him he can’t talk. Now it’s time to talk about the terms, mate, and let’s be honest, Wardlow is kinda the worst and karma befalls for whatever happened to his best friend Cody Rhodes.

If Wardlow wants a match at Double or Nothing, how many times is he going to get whipped? Shawn Spears provides number ten. And then if Wardlow passes the whip, he will have to wrestle Spears inside a steel cage, and not just any cage match, no, MJF will be the special guest referee.

What if he can override it? Wardlow gets the match. But now they have to talk about what will happen if he loses at Double or Nothing – he will never be allowed to sign an AEW contract. Mr. Mayhem tries to sign the handcuffs and MJF tells security to untie him so he can sign.

He does, and sure enough, he starts blasting security guards left and right while Friedman cowers “like Martin Sheen in the dead zone” by my wife! Spears charges and Mr. Mayhem drops him with a single punch! Smart Mark sacrifices himself to save Max, Wardlow sets the table back… AND THE STERLING POWERBOMBS THROUGH!

And so we’re going to take a break.

Back from the commercial, we get a video package for the Samoa Joe/Jay Lethal feud.

“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry vs. Ricky Starks (c) (FTW Championship)

Mat grappling to start, Jungle Boy hammerlock, knucklelock, Starks with an Arab press arm drag to counter. Perry fights back, a big dropkick sends Ricky to the ground and we’re going to break.

Back from the commercial, Starks grinds him down with body scissors, Perry slips and explodes with shoulder blocks and a big lasso! Ricky’s Suplex Lift, Inverted, Jungle Boy with a DDT Tornado for Two! Looking for the knocked down Roshambo, Starks hangs on but knocks him down again!

Big superkick, cover… SO CLOSE! Off the ropes, Ricky with a spear, still just a two count! Perry locks Snare Trap in the middle of the ring! Redface Ricky Starks crawls to the ropes and forces the break! Starks tries to escape, Shane Strickland goes down, the casadora, the referee is busy with Swerve, no count!

Hooks…

Ricky Starks wins via pinfall with Roshambo to retain the FTW Championship.

Christian Cage and Luchasaurus arrive in the ring, passing Strickland en route to Jungle Boy.

They have a confrontation, Team Taz comes around the corner to threaten Swerve and Keith Lee comes in to play the equalizer.

Cage pulls Jack in for a hug and we’re going to take a break.

Back from the commercial, we get a promo from Tony Khan on AAPI representation, which is good.

The Jericho Appreciation Society enters.

A podium is set up in the ring for their victory speech.

Matt Menard asks if we want to know what makes his nipples hard (we don’t) and says it’s that he can stand here with the biggest faction in the world. Chris Jericho points out that he is a hometown hero, born on the road to Manhasset, but moved away quickly because that place is a dump.

And if you have a problem with that, he’ll throw a fireball in your face because he’s a wizard. They did exactly what they said they would do in taking out Santana, Ortiz and Eddie Kingston, and he urges them to stay home. He tells Eddie’s wife to call him and Daniel Garcia takes over.

He says a sports entertainer beats a professional wrestler every time, and…

Enter Jon Moxley.

Y2J tells him to turn around and take another sabbatical since there’s only one of him and five of them.

The rest of the Blackpool Combat Club steps in to even the odds!

Jericho points out that they are still outnumbered…EDDIE KINGSTON AND HIS BOYS ARE BACK BABY!

The Jericho Appreciation Society is trapped and we had a fight! Kingston chokes Jericho but when Hager tries to get him to safety, William Regal shows him the power of the punch! The Jericho Appreciation Society runs away with its tail between its legs.

We receive a video package for Thunder Rosa vs. Serena Deeb and are informed that our main event will be contested under Anything Goes rules.

Jamie Hayter vs. Toni Storm (Owen Hart Foundation Tournament First Round Match)

Collar and elbow, Storm with a side headlock, Hayter escapes and blows into the corner. before getting serious and blasting Toni to the ground to send us to the break.

Back from the commercial, swapping chops on a whipping attempt, going to the forearms and both ladies eventually go down! Tornado DDT out of the corner, Jamie crashes to the ground and Storm hits another on the ground! Back inside, dive strap…NO!

Backbreaker from Hayter for two, to the apron, Jamie hits a Rock Bottom and brings it inside! Superplex, roll through, small package for two! Backslide, roll through, Storm Zero…

Toni Storm wins by pinfall with Storm Zero.
