New shows on the fall schedule
Two new scripted shows join the ABC Fall Primetime lineup. One is an original drama, the other is a spin-off drama. The two stars of the amazing actresses… let’s take a look:
“Alaska Daily”
From the mind of Tom McCarthy (“Spotlight”), “Alaska Daily” stars Hilary Swank as Eileen Fitzgerald, a hugely talented and award-winning investigative reporter who leaves her New York life after a fall from grace to join a daily newspaper in the Anchorage metro in search of personal and professional redemption.
The show also stars Jeff Perry as Stanley Kornik, Matt Malloy as Bob Young, Meredith Holzman as Claire Muncy, Grace Dove as Rosalind “Roz” Friendly, Pablo Castelblanco as Gabriel Tovar, Ami Park as Yuna Park, and Craig Frank as Austin Teague.
Tom McCarthy is creator and executive producer. Hilary Swank, Melissa Wells, Bert Salke, Kyle Hopkins (Anchorage Daily News) and Ryan Binkley (Anchorage Daily News) are the series’ executive producers. “Alaska Daily” is produced by 20th Television, part of Disney Television Studios.
“The Recruit: The Feds”
From the executive producers of landmark series “The Rookie” comes “The Rookie: Feds,” starring Niecy Nash-Betts as Simone Clark, the FBI Academy’s longest-serving recruit.
The spin-off premiered as a two-part event during “The Rookie” season four, where Officer John Nolan (Nathan Fillion) and the FBI’s LA Division seek Simone Clark’s help when one of his former students is a suspect. in a terrorist attack.
The catch is that Clark is one of the FBI’s oldest recruits, and he has a certain way of doing things that doesn’t always match the status quo.
“The Rookie: Feds” also stars Frankie Faison as Christopher “Cutty” Clark and Felix Solis as Special Agent Matthew Garza.
Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul Winter serve as co-creators and executive producers. Mark Gordon, Niecy Nash-Betts, Nathan Fillion, Michelle Chapman, Bill Norcross and Corey Miller serve as executive producers. Entertainment One (eOne) is the master studio and international distributor for “The Rookie: Feds”, a co-production with ABC Signature.
