Blog: Brief break from humidity and rain

Lower humidity values will be the headline on our Wednesday, as we will have a brief break not only from humidity but also from rain. Enjoy, as the two make a comeback by Thursday and Friday.

Clouds are far away and few in number today – expect plenty of blue skies and sunshine to accompany the low humidity readings. Today’s highs will reach the 80s, with lower 80s closer to waterways and upper 80s further inland. There will be showers and thunderstorms developing in the west, we’ll watch for them, but I-95 should be the limit. We will be looking for rain and a few thunderstorms to come back with the humidity on Thursday and Friday.

Become disrupted by Thursday and Friday.

The cool front that drapes our south today moves into the region tomorrow, bringing unsettled weather to the region. The humidity will return, making the afternoon upper 80s feel like the 90s, and our chances of rain will also return. Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are likely to develop – timing is still tricky, but will likely kick in in the afternoon.

Less humid today, becoming muggy Thursday and Friday, then refreshing out of season this weekend.

We will do this again on Friday, but will increase in heat – highs likely in the low to mid 90s with Heat Index values near 100°. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be present before nice changes set in for the weekend.

Cooler, refreshing and sunny weather is expected to emerge this weekend. On Saturday and Sunday there will be sunshine and highs on either side of 80° – dare we say perfect!? For the holiday weekend, absolutely.
