Bronco Nation: Follow the score, highlights and latest updates from Saturday night’s Boise State vs. BYU rivalry bout using Game Tracker and KTVB’s live blog.

BOISE, Idaho — The stage is set for Saturday’s rivalry showdown between Boise State and BYU on The Blue. The Broncos are looking to have the last laugh in the series of rivalries as we know it, before the Cougars make it to the Big 12 Conference.

Boise State and BYU travel to Albertsons Stadium on opposite paths. The Broncos are the winners of four straight games — all of Mountain West’s opponents — while the Cougars are aiming for their first win since Sept. 29 and looking to end a four-game skid.

Head coach Andy Avalos called Saturday’s game “a huge challenge” given BYU’s experience against top-notch teams in 2022. Kalani Sitake’s team is led by quarterback Jaren Hall, who won Player of the Month honors from the College Football Hall of Fame for September.

Boise State is led by its dominating defense and its three-headed monster on offense, which is coming off its best performance of the year in the air. Redshirt freshman quarterback Taylen Green threw for 305 passing yards in the 49-10 win over Colorado State, and George Holani found the end zone three times.

The Broncos defense currently ranks in the top 25 of FBS teams in passing yards allowed (#1), first downs (#1), total defense (#2), scoring defense ( No. 13) and Race Defense (No. 13).
