Capitals wrap up regular season in New York against Rangers

The Washington Capitals will have their last chance to advance in the Eastern Conference on the final day of their regular season. A win and a regulation loss to Pittsburgh means the Caps skip the Florida Panthers in the first round.

No Alex Ovechkin yet and no Nicklas Backstrom either. Ilya Samsonov will be the starter in net.

Tonight’s game is on NBC Sports Washington. Here is today’s Daily deals.

Real good vibes without Ovechkin

It was dreary. Best luck for tonight.

Dashboard out of town

We will have to watch two games. If PIT takes a point, the Caps play the Cats. Looks like it’s gonna happen. Yeah it will happen.

1-0 NYR

Samsonov didn’t really lock the post.

JK now it’s 1-1

Schultz fires back less than a minute later. Cleaned from the face-off point.

2-1 WSH

I believe this is Washington’s first PPG since the late 1980s.

Draw

Carlson gives and Carlson takes.

Ovi is at the game

And he’s having fun

3-2 NYR

Locker says “that’s the true definition of a dipsy-doo”

Ovi vs. MSG

Alex Ovechkin trolls Rangers fans and leads his own ‘Ovi Sucks’ chant from press level at Madison Square Garden

The story of the night.
