City Foundry presents City Winery in St. Louis this summer

  • A winery has joined the list of destinations at the City Foundry.

the city ​​foundry (3730 Foundry Road) adds another national brand to its lineup: City Winery will debut in St. Louis later this summer.

City Winery doubles as a concert venue and winery. Located next to the Food Hall, the venue will have a pizza bar, a coffee roasting station and an “exclusive tap system with eco-friendly wine glasses straight from steel barrels. stainless,” according to a press release. The new addition can accommodate 175 people and has seating for 70 in its restaurant, with an additional 50 seats outside. You can also rent the space for a private event.

The winery currently has locations in New York, New York; Boston, Massachusetts; Nashville, TN; Chicago, Ill.; Washington D.C.; Atlanta, Georgia; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Hudson Valley, New York.

“St. Louis has always been one of my favorite cities in the country, it’s where I went to college, and it’s an honor to open in the historic City Foundry STL building,” said Michael Dorf, founder and CEO of City Winery, in a press release. “We are excited to bring our unique multi-sensory experience to the local community and be a part of it.”

Will Smith of New + Found, the parent company of City Foundry, says in the press release that the organization has been focused on finding partners who bring unique, curated experiences to St. Louis. The addition of City Winery allows St. Louis residents to enjoy live music and locally made wines, Smith says.

The winery joins two other national brands: Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and Puttshack Mini Golf. The mini-golf experience with a “nightclub vibe” is set to open as early as July, but could be pushed back to the fall, with a similar schedule in place for the movies.
