The defensive linemen scheduled to practice this afternoon generated a lot of buzz.
“I’ve been talking to GMs and Directors of Personnel over the past few hours and there’s legit buzz for this DL workout tonight. The position is stacked!!!,” NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah tweeted on Saturday.
For Lions supporters, the biggest question mark surrounding Kayvon Thibodeaux concerns his level of effort.
The 21-year-old defensive lineman told reporters on Friday that he had a desire to play football and that the many challenges he faced helped prepare him to succeed at the top level.

“I don’t think I necessarily had to convince the teams of that, but that’s the media story, right? There must always be a narrative that is drawn. For me, I’m an LA kid. If you know the adversity I went through to get here and the things I had to sacrifice and the things my mother had to sacrifice to get me here, you would truly understand how I feel in my heart.” said Thibodeaux, via NFL.com.
Thibodeaux continued: “When you talk about fire, when you talk about passion, you can’t even really explain it. I get emotional even thinking about it. All the sacrifices it took me to get here, I wouldn’t have made all these sacrifices if I didn’t love the game. I’m blessed to be here and I’m just happy that these teams want to get to know me.
