The Eureka Chamber of Commerce announced the passing of its President and CEO Donna Wright in a statement this afternoon.
“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna Wright, CEO and President of the Greater Eureka Chamber of Commerce,” the statement read. “Donna’s leadership in the Chamber over the past five years has been transformational for the community. Her passion to be a catalyst for business growth, a unifier of leaders and a champion for a stronger community has empowered us all enriched.”
Wright became executive director of the Eureka Chamber in November 2017, the first woman to lead the organization since its inception in 1891.
“A special thank you to Eureka’s first responders, whose assistance is greatly appreciated. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and all who loved him,” the statement read.
