The third round of the Football Association Challenge Cup is in full swing. Saturday brought great drama to us, especially the Cambridge United Ligue 1 team which beat Premier League team Newcastle United at St. James Park. Today, Tottenham Hotspur are looking to avoid a similar fate by welcoming another League One side to Morecambe FC.
Spurs will be without Son Heung-Min’s services for this game and, given the game as well as the upcoming Carabao Cup midweek second leg against Chelsea, we expect a renewed squad for this game. What that lineup looks like remains to be seen, but it’s one of those games Spurs should win as they face a side threatened with relegation to the third tier.

- Absolutely no link to illegal feeds. They are bad and they are causing us trouble. Violators will be warned or banned.
- We have rules against “relentless negativity”. No one likes a negative Nancy. Don’t post crazy or hurtful stuff just because you’re frustrated.
- In this sense, outright abuse of players or match officials is not allowed either. It’s okay to say “wow, that was a really bad call”, but it’s NOT okay to direct copious amounts of abuse at that official during a call you didn’t like. .
- Treat other people in the match thread the way you would like someone else to treat your grandma. Be nice. This is a community of fans, not an unmoderated discussion board.
- Finally, while we don’t have a rule against profanity, try to keep nasty words under control. In addition, comments of a sexist, racist, transphobic or homophobic nature will be quickly deleted and you will be immediately banned. It is an open and united community.
