New Covid-19 vaccination clinic opens at Ribble House in Bamber Bridge

A new Covid-19 vaccination clinic has opened at Ribble House in Bamber Bridge to help protect residents from Omicron.

Anyone 18 years of age and over who received the second dose more than three months ago is encouraged to visit the clinic, which is open 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week.

The Bamber Bridge vaccination clinic offers boosters and first and second doses.

Jane Scattergood is the Senior Manager of the Lancashire and Southern Cumbria Covid-19 Vaccination Program.

She said: ‘The NHS is working closely with all of its partners on a rapid response to the new variant of the virus to protect our local residents.

“We have lots of vaccines for everyone and we made it as easy for them to get vaccinated as possible.

“A huge thank you to all of our staff and partners, who are working hard on delivering this next phase of the immunization program and helping to protect our residents and their loved ones. ”

The addition of new clinics and extended hours of operation at all sites will help the NHS vaccination program offer every adult the opportunity to book a booster shot by the end of the year.

Caroline Donovan, Managing Director of Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We are delighted to be able to support the National Immunization Program.

“Our team here has done an amazing job over the past week to prepare for the opening of the Ribble House vaccination center, and I want to thank them for their commitment and dedication.

“Getting your first, second and booster shots is the best way to protect yourself and others from Covid-19, and I encourage local people to reserve their immunizations, especially given the current high rates. ”

There is a wide range of clinics in the area, offering booster and first and second dose services to eligible people 12 years of age and older.
