Nura has announced the NuraTrue Pro – the first pair of lossless, spatial Bluetooth wireless headphones, reports MusicTech.

These wireless earbuds follow on from the NuraTrue headphones and deliver CD-quality lossless sound with spatial processing and adaptive noise cancellation. This is all possible with Qualcomm’s new aptX lossless audio technology – a chip that enables the transmission bandwidth needed for uncompressed 16-bit 44.1kHz audio.

Previously, high-quality lossless audio required high-end hardware, often professional studio gear. But Qualcomm’s Snapdragon mobile platform is here to change that.

In its existing products, Nura provides lossless audio in addition to its patented personalized sound technology. This technology personalizes your listening experience by measuring your hearing to establish the equalization settings that are right for you.

But the combination of these two technologies will give you an “unparalleled audio experience”, says Nura.

Additionally, the Swedish company Dirac has provided a spatial audio mode that provides an immersive sound experience that was previously only available on wired over-ear headphones.

Now, in spatial audio mode, you can expect an “expanded soundscape”.

When it comes to noise cancellation, the NuraTrue Pro goes a step further and includes adaptive noise cancellation technology. As a result, your NuraTrue Pro headphones will adjust the noise canceling level according to the positions of the headphones via its three built-in noise-detecting microphones.

And finally, Nura’s new ProEQ technology lets you use the accompanying mobile app – for iOS and Android – and apply fine-tuning to the headphones’ EQ settings.

NuraTrue Pro will cost $329 upon release. But if you pre-order the new buds on Kickstarter, you can secure the headphones for an “early discount” of $199. Pre-order via Kickstarter below.
