Preston Armed Forces Day 2022 Parade and Service Details

To mark Armed Forces Day, there will be a short service and parade through Preston on Saturday June 25.

The service will be held at the Flag Market Cenotaph.

The service schedule is as follows:

10:45 a.m. at the Preston Cenotaph. Veterans, their families and friends will be at the cenotaph beginning at 10:45 a.m. The standards parade with Bill Barlow playing the bagpipes.

11:00 a.m.: Short service, readings and address by the president, Colonel Waters, to thank our veterans of the Second World War and to show our appreciation for their service.

11:30 a.m.: Prayers and blessing, community song and national anthem.

11:50 a.m.: The mayor meets and thanks the flag bearers before they leave.
