In the midst of a rebuild, it’s hard to tell if the Houston Texans are improving because the team’s results don’t always reflect progress.
That’s why we asked fans what they thought.
On defense, an overwhelming 94% of fans in the survey think the Texans have made progress.
As for whether the team is heading in the right direction, 82% of fans agree with the statement despite the Texans starting two games winless.
On offense, 84% of investigators think rookie running back Dameon Pierce should get the majority of backfield runs. In yesterday’s game against Denver BroncosPierce saw 15 carries, while Burkhead was only there for assists.
Finally, despite their attacking issues, 75% of fans believe the attack has improved compared to last year. Considering there was no high bar to start with, that’s no surprise. But Davis Mills will have to do more for fans to believe he and the rest of the offense are progressing.
The Texans will look to improve their record next Sunday in the Windy City against the Chicago Bears. Kick-off is scheduled for 12 p.m.
