An exhibition celebrating the work of a beloved Preston photographer opens in the city center this Saturday.

The work of the elders Preston Blog co-editor and contributor Tony Worrall will be featured at The Larder in Lancaster Road.
Opening on Saturday, December 11 at 1:00 p.m., “A Tribute to Tony Worrall” will run through Sunday, January 23, 2022 and will feature canvases and framed prints of Tony’s most beloved scenes in Preston.

Preston Blog founder Ed Walker said: “We thought the least we could do was ensure Tony’s photographic legacy lives on.
“I hope these photos show Tony’s talent that so many of us have admired and appreciated in the best possible light.
“The city is poorer without its fantastic images showing the light and shadow of a proud Preston every day.”

A talented and prolific photographer, Tony accumulated more than 78,000 photos on the photo-sharing site Flickr before passing away on Thursday, June 10, at the age of 61, at his home in Ashton-on-Ribble.
An exhibition launch party will be held on Saturday, December 11 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and anyone who knew Tony or liked his photos are invited to come.
The Flickr group that Tony founded and maintained was recently reinvigorated by Preston photographer Gary Bond.
