Tuesday’s blog: Still cold but soon warming up. -Doug

Another cold but is heating up soon. -Doug

Hope your week has started well so far. It’s definitely colder than what we’ve seen this weekend. However, this will not last long. Still cold Tuesday with lots of clouds.

A weak wave will give us a lot of clouds and maybe a few showers or showers late in the day. This system will mostly stay north and east of us as we will stay in the NW flow with the Jet Stream.

Higher levels

We’re going to start to see waves finally plunging into the southwestern United States. Now all of the arctic air is locked in to the north, but that will bring a storm system further south as the pattern begins to accentuate over the next two weeks. Back to the 1950s by Wednesday.

Wednesday

So check this out, the 70s or near records by Friday.

Friday

A much more powerful system operates late Friday and Saturday. The last time in the Heady Pattern it was a two system series and very wet. The pattern is a bit different this time around with the arctic air blocked so far north and at the moment this system seems to be developing mostly east of the area rather than above us. But something that I want to watch the next few days. It is much colder this weekend. Long-term forecast below.

Next week: Warming up towards the middle of the week with a storm system with chances of rain from Thursday to Saturday. It will also refresh us the second half of the week.

From Sunday 19 to Saturday 25: A mild start to the week with the risk of rain on Monday. Refreshment with chances of rain or snow Thursday and Friday (Christmas Eve).

26-Jan 1st: Mostly a cool or chilly week with chances of snow on Monday and Tuesday. Mostly dry and cool the rest of the week.
