From the BMS West Seattle Events Calendarinbox and archives, here is the list for today:


-Spokane Street overpass eastbound, plus access to it and the Hwy 99 loop ramp, closed 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for pothole repairs
-Repairs to damaged eastbound SW Spokane lane divider near 11th SW, ~6:00am-5:00pm
– Traffic light updates at 7th/Cloverdale in South Park

Also, WSDOT plans more “Revive I-5” lane closures.

WEST SEATTLE TAE KWON DO CLUB: 9:30 a.m. to High Point Community Center (6920 34th SW) is the first class in July – all are welcome.

WEST DUWAMISH GREEN BELT HIKING: Explore tribal use of native plants on this hike – meet at 10am at The heron’s nest (4818 15th SW). More information in our calendar list.

MORNING MUSIC: Marco de Carvalho and his friends, 10:30 a.m.-noon at C&P Coffee Company (5612 California SW; WSB sponsor).

PADDING POOL/SPRAYPARK: If the city opens wading pools today (they will be updated to 206-684-7796 around mid-morning, and we’ll update here), the pool at the top of the center Lincoln Park (8011 Fauntleroy Way SW) would be open from noon to 7 p.m. No matter the weather, Highland Park Water Park (1100 SW Cloverdale) will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

COLMAN POOL:You can swim outdoor pool on the Lincoln Park shore (8011 Fauntleroy Way SW), noon to 7 p.m.

VIETNAMESE CULTURAL CENTER: Open to visitors from noon to 3 p.m. as listed here. (2234 SW Orchard)

WOODEN HOUSE MUSEUM: The Seattle Southwest Historical Society The museum is open on Alki, and you can visit it from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. (61st/Stevens)

DUBSEA FISH FICKERS: To see the DubSea Fish Fingers at 6:05 p.m. against Diamond Sports, Steve Cox Memorial Park (1321 SW 102nd) – ticket information here.

MAD CUTAWAYS: 4 piece strip perform at C&P Coffee Company (5612 California SW; WSB sponsor), 7-9 p.m. No cover.
