You keep me lit like antediluvian Troy, but we still worship what we are bound to destroy. Gloomy Erebus is anathema to me, all dancing like flames and sad enmity. I wonder if I understand, but my main concern here is live blogging about this pro wrestling show here for you guys.

The show opens with Vic Joseph introducing his new broadcast partner, Booker T.

Bron Breaker vs. Javier Bernal

JD McDonagh joins us in commenting on this one.

Breaker slamming Bernal, applying a double wrist lock, lariat, shoulder blocks, catching him with the high angle spinebuster and Javier stays on the back foot! Start, second but Bron is right on top of him with a snap! The military press, staring at JD…

Bron Breaker wins by pinfall with the powerslam of the military press.

After the match, Breakker and McDonagh look down on each other.

Enter Ilja Dragunov.

JD drops him with a headbutt and starts brawling with Breakker until Ilja nails Bron with a Torpedo Moskau and McDonagh walks away!

We get an Alba Fyre package on how she never backs down and such.

A video package for the final game of Axiom and Axiom and Nathan Frazer’s best-of-three series follows, and we’ll take the break.

Axiom vs. Nathan Frazer (NXT North American Championship Qualifier Match)

Collar and elbow, Axiom with a go-behind, front chancery, hairpin, stalemate! Back to a block, a side headlock this time, a control grab, a wrist grab, a whip to the corner, a back somersault up and down, ropes, a fall, a low slide, a jump of frog caught with a heel trip!

Reverse Deathlock bow and arrow on cover, stereo dropkicks to stereo kip-ups! Cartwheel, dodge a lariat, fast counters, and a look down! Strength test, back roll, leg trip, ground side headlock in a blanket for two. New showdown, Nathan bends him to the mat and breaks his bridge, covered for two!

Wrestling on the mat, springboard countered, shoulder armbreaker over the ropes of Axiom! Step up, jockey for position, the avalanche Frankensteiner countered with a gal toss into the ropes and we’ll break!

Back from the commercial, Frazer with a Boston Crab, reversed hairpin for two and Axiom follows him with a sliding German suplex through the ropes! Diving shoulder bag for two! On the floor, Nathan with a moon jump to the apron and a transition to a reverse elbow drop to the floor!

Beating the count, Frazer right at him with a diving leg drop, back up high, Phoenix Splash countered in a triangle choke! Nathan lifts him up but Axiom rolls him into an omoplata armbar…FRAZER GETS THE ROPES! Back and forth, exchange of punches, a double pin and a double kickout!

Trading superkicks, Frazer comes up against a knee and Axiom waits, rana pin, back and forth…

Nathan Frazer wins via pinfall with a rana pin to qualify for the NXT North American Championship ladder match at Halloween Havoc.

We see Ilja Dragunov walking in the parking lot when an interview arrives.

He says the square circle is a battlefield and there are no rules…

Grayson Waller rolls and chats with him, they come and go and Waller’s insecurity overwhelms him.

Valentina Feroz asks Sanga if he will be in his corner tonight, since Yulisa Leon is injured, and he accepts.

Indi Hartwell rolls over to tell her it might be her jungle but it’s her ring, and we’re going to break.

Back from the commercial and oh lord Apollo Crews is keeping a diary again.

Indi Hartwell vs. Valentina Feroz

Mat tackling early, Veer Mahaan comes down and whispers something in Sanga’s ear and Sanga drops Feroz as she’s trapped in a sideways headlock. Valentina on her feet, Indi hoists her in a Canadian backbreaker and rocks! Feroz escapes, high in the turnbuckles, flying armband!

Hartwell rolls her over and lifts her up to counter the armbar with a suplex! Jawbreaker allows Feroz to breathe but she notices Sanga gone and hesitates. Dragging arms, running Meteora, basement dropkick in a blanket… NO! Indi takes her out…

Indi Hartwell wins by pinfall.

After the game, Pretty Deadly appears on the balcony dressed as they think Americans dress for sporting events, with foam hats and leather pants.

They talk about how they’re waiting to see who challenges them next and they have crackling sausages for the hottest boys in NXT.

Edris Enofe and Malike Blade make their entrance to send us to the break.

Back from the pub, Cora Jade is interviewed backstage.

She’s contacted potential opponents for Roxanne Perez for the next week and mocks her for not having any friends, but she turns around and says Perez is lying when told her DMs are blowing up and that Roxanne is going to SmackDown as a scout this week.

Briggs & Jensen (Brooks Jensen & Josh Briggs) vs. Edris Enofe & Malik Blade vs. The Dyad (Jagger Reid & Rip Fowler) (NXT Tag Team Championship #1 Contender’s Match)

Briggs and Jensen fight the Dyad, big right hand from Brooks to Blade, off the ropes, slide to the ground, stereo punches on Malik! A dropkick sends Josh flying but Reid lands a backbreaker on Blade and tags in Fowler! Backbreaker assisted on Briggs on the floor and they go for a big hug with their wrestler dad Joe Gacy!

Back inside, Rip with a big slam for two, tag to Reid, ax handle to the top kidneys! Fowler returns but Edris and Malik make him double teams! Handstand leg drop, tag done by Briggs, whip and Josh throws Jagger over the ropes and into the crush! Jensen walks in, stepping on the rope…senton atomico to the ground and we’re going to break!

Back from the commercial, the Dyad are in control and defeat Enofe and Jensen at the same time! Briggs comes in and runs hot, knocking everyone out and punctuating him with a big splash in the ring! Running hot with Brooks, charging lariats from corner to corner, dropping Manhattan, big boot, Edris and Malik knock things over but Josh smashes it all up!

Tag, Fowler in but he comes up against a knee from Enofe! The match enters “everyone is doing something cool” territory, ending in floor dives! Gacy lures Enofe and sends him away, but Cameron Grimes interferes and Edris knocks down a pin…

Edris Enofe and Malik Blade win by pinfall with Enofe’s victory roll over Jagger Reid.

Behind the scenes, Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne are interviewed and say they will deal with Alba Fyre and send her straight back to Middle-earth.

And so we’re going to take a break.

Back from the commercial, we get a vignette of Kiana James in her office where she is working on buying the Chase University land.

Alba Fyre vs. Jacy Jayne

Jayne charges, Fyre dodges, KLR bomb jammed, bridge folding press, no, crucifix, no deal! Swapping forearms, whipping, Alba trips her with a fall and nails her with a forearm! Fending off Dolin’s interference, Jacy takes advantage, rolling elbow and boots into the corner!

Running hip attack, tumbling senton, cover for two! Fires on the return with a gourdbuster and kicks, reverse whip, daredevil jumping for two! Spinebuster, another imminent fall, a tope con giro follows! Back inside, pick her up, Gigi runs interference, Jayne with a schoolboy and a handful of pantyhose, not enough!

In the Gory Special…

Alba Fyre wins by pinfall with the KLR Bomb.
